A couple from Europe were planning a birthday celebration. They explored destinations across Asia and beyond.
While watching Alexander Armstrong in Sri Lanka, they felt drawn to the island’s charm.
The documentary showcased Sri Lanka’s culture, nature, and warmth.
It featured tea country, wildlife, and local traditions.
The couple decided to spend 30 days exploring the country. We felt honoured that they spent three days at GlenMyu Estate.
Celebration and Discovery
They discovered GlenMyu Estate while researching boutique stays. The villa’s peaceful setting and unique offerings stood out. They booked three nights as part of their adventure.
During their stay, they enjoyed fresh cinnamon rolls and herbal Kola Kanda. Both dishes featured Kithul Jaggery, a local sweetener. They relaxed in the garden, watched birds, and soaked in the mountain views.
A trip to see a temple
On their three day stay the guests enjoyed hours at the pool and Ru’s spice garden tour.
They did venture out one day to visit Buduruwagala Rock Carvings. We gave them a contact for a guide who met them at the temple. We had used the guide ourselves and therefore knew he would do a good job providing some history of the site.
Our guests really enjoyed their outing and were filled with information provided by the guide.
A Sri lankan highlight
The couple shared that GlenMyu Estate was a highlight of their trip. They appreciated the hospitality, food, and tranquil atmosphere.
Their birthday holiday celebration became a memory to cherish.
