The Pekoe Trail Stage 7 is a 15.5 km hike from Kotagala to Norwood in Sri Lanka. Enjoy scenic views as you make walk past tea estates.

Are there Hiking Apps which will help me on the Trail?
The Official Pekoe Trail Website suggests that walkers use All Trails, Outdoor Active or Wikiloc.

The Pekoe Trail is part of the European Union’s 5.7 million Euro support for Sri Lanka’s national tourism strategy. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) also provided approximately $787,000 in support of the project.

An Ultra Marathon and the Pekoe Trail
Hyun Chang Chung was the first person to complete an Ultra Marathon on the Pekoe Trail. He covered the 300 kilometre trail in 59 hours in January 2023.
Where should I stay when tackling the Pekoe Trail
There is no official list of places to stay whilst you are hiking the Pekoe Trail on the official website. At the time this is published we will update this article.Â
There are so many different types of accommodation on offer on this Paradise Island. At this time we would recommend you to look on the normal accommodation websites such as Booking.com and Airbnb.
On stage 14 of the trail you will come across green tea plantations, farms, village homes & historic bungalows as you trek through the forest, mountains and valleys.
Stage 14 Starts near the famous Tea Baron's Viewpoint
Lipton’s Seat, one of the most popular attractions near to Haputale, is a short walk from this stage of the trail.
