Glamping in Sri Lanka

After Ben Fogle’s experience at Cliff Lodge, near Haputale, Sri Lanka, there has been an increased interest in glamping in Sri Lanka.

Ben Fogle visited Naveen and Anke in his program ” New Lives in the Wild” (Series 18 – Episode 6).

The Cliff Lodge

The Cliff Lodge, is a unique glamping experience in the mountains of Haputale, Sri Lanka

There are great reviews of the experience that guest have at this remote spot in the Haputale mountains.

After a hike of 1.8 kilometres after a Safari vehicle takes you the initial part of the journey you reach the glamping site.

The ruins of some old line houses are where the lounge and glamping pods are located. Line houses were the rudimentary accommodation for workers on a tea estate (built in a line).

You will sleep in a glass pod in one of the ruined stone buildings where you will be able to watch the stars at night.

There is no electricity, no hot water and no internet/phone connection. It really does provide an opportunity to reconnect and immerse yourself in nature.
