The Pekoe Trail - Stage 18

The Pekoe Trail Stage 18 takes you on an 13.96 kilometre hike from Hali-Ela to Ettampitiya.

You will enjoy a walk through picturesque paddy fields, tea trails and hills, and also see panoramic views.

What will I see on Stage 18 of the Pekoe Trail?

At this stage we at GlenMyu Estate are yet to complete this part of the trail and we will update this article when we have done so. We will provide a commentary along with videos and photos.

Are there any recommended Hiking Apps?

The official website for the Pekoe Trail now has its’ own hiking App which you can download and it will help you with navigating the trail.

There are other APPs such as Wikiloc, All Trails and Outdoor Active which have already been populated with hikers experiences and are an alternative if you already have installed these apps.

An Award winning hiking trail

Despite only being opening in 2023, the Pekoe Trail has already won recognition at some prestigious awards.

The British Guild of Travel Writers awarded the Pekoe Trail ‘Best Wider World Tourism Project’ in 2023.

It also made National Geographic’s Coveted ‘Best of the World’ List for 2024.

Where should I stay?

Presently there is no list of recommended places to stay on the official Pekoe Trail Website. When this is available we will update this article.
