Sri Lankan Visa - where should I buy one?

Some want you to come .... and some don't!

The title of the article on the Sydney Morning Herald website is actually

“Ten great destinations that want more tourists (and five that don’t)”.

What do they say?

Some tourist destinations  receive an incredible number of tourist visits. (This however can lead to over tourism and barriers are put up to ward you off).

Others have gone out of fashion.

The Sydney Morning Herald has comprised a list of countries that ” that really wants you” to go there.

Why is Sri Lanka on the list?

Once a favourite for Australian travellers, the economic and political crisis in 2022 made it a country that was not considered safe to visit.

“he Sri Lankan economy has stabilised in the past 12 months, and the country is again welcoming tourists.”

Why should I go on holiday to Sri Lanka?

The publication highlights Galle, Colombo, Kandy, and visit archaeological sites such as Sigiriya, Dambulla and Polonnaruwa as places to visit.

Jaffna is also a place that is ow being discovered by tourists.

Maybe we are a little biased but....

Apart from the places suggested in the Sydney Morning Herald article there are lots of places to discover near to Haputale and Ella.

Nine Arch Bridge is now the poster boy for Sri Lanka along with the Lion Rock. The bridge is only just over an hour away from GlenMyu Estate. Lots of our guests enjoy a day trip to the busy town of Ella and the great places to see nearby.
