GlenMyu Estate is located in five acres of the Sri Lankan hill country , just over one hours drive from Ella.
We find that our guests like to stay out of the touristy areas but be within reach so that they can visit and experience the beautiful places to see in the area.
The swimming pool at GlenMyu Estate is filled by a natural spring and you will sometimes be accompanied by one of our dogs who will watch over you whilst you swim.

We are proud to say that we have re-homed many puppies over the time we have lived in Sri Lanka.
It got a little more difficult to find homes in 2022 during the financial crisis experienced by the country.
However, recently (February 2025), we have managed to re-home three street dogs. They are all settled in their new homes with loving owners.
Your bit of charity when you stay with us
We aim to give all dogs that go through pour hands the best start in life as possible.
By staying with us at GlenMyu Estate, part of the money you pay goes to supporting the dogs.
The dogs at the estate are fed, housed and get their annual vaccinations.
We feed street dogs in Beragala town and have recently been supporting a female who gave birth to five puppies.
As some of the local Sri Lankans find it costly to spay or neuter their dogs, we provide funding to ease the financial pressure.
Our fabulous swimming pool
We love our swimming pool.
It is surrounded by a sea of green and listening to the bords as you swim is a joy.
The pool os not overlooked by the house and our guests like the level of privacy.
No need to share
As we only have three guest bedrooms you will often find that you are the only guests at the swimming pool.
Some families or friends book all three rooms at the estate and have the luxury of having the pool all to themselves.Â
It’s a perfect place to relax, have some fun and make memories that will last for a long time.
No chlorine, just spring water
Don’t you hate the chlorine smell when swimming and when you get out of the pool.
I just can’t wait to have a shower and remove that chemical odour.
As our swimming pool is filled from a natural spring and is constantly flowing, we do not use chlorine in the pool.
It’s and amazing experience and great to know that you are swimming in water as natural as it should be.
