Photos ofThe Pekoe Trail

GlenMyu Estate is located within reach of several sections of the new Pekoe Trail. In order to give you a flavour of what you will experience whilst hiking the Pekoe Trail we have asked our guests to provide photos for us to publish. Here are our guest photos of the Pekoe Trail.

As we have more guests tackling the Pekoe Trail we will continue to update this article.

We also plan to hike the sections of the 22 stage trail that are near to GlenMyu Estate and will publish our photos, videos and thoughts.

Our first guests that tackled the Pekoe Trail.

We are so grateful to George and Emily who shared their photos with us of their hike at Stage 13 of the Pekoe Trail between Haputale and Lipton’s Seat.

They stayed at GlenMyu Estate in early July and the weather on the day was a little cloudy. Despite the weather, and the threat of rain they managed to complete the hike and share their photos.

I think that it was probably better to hike in some cloud cover as it can get quite hot during some months of the year. Also, hiking at c 1,400 metres up to an elevation of c 1,700 metres means that you will need sunscreen and a hat even if on a cloudy day.

George and Emily's photos July 2023.

George and Emily completed Stage 13 of the Pekoe Trail (Haputale to St Catherine’s (Lipton’s Seat)) in early July 2023 .
