Winner - Best Wider World Tourism Project

And we have a winner! – The British Guild of Travel Writers award for the Best Wider World Tourism Project 2023 goes to the Pekoe Trail, Sri Lanka.

Congratulations to all that have been involved in the Pekoe Trail for winning this award.

The trail has only been opened this year (2023) and it is a credit to the teams who have crafted this new tourist activity in Sri Lanka.

The award was announced on the Sunday the 5th November 2023 at the ceremony at Middle Temple Hall, London.

The accolade was mentioned in the local papers such as The Morning, The Sri Lankan Daily Mirror, Newswire

What is the Pekoe Trail?

 Sri Lanka’s Pekoe Trail, a new hiking trail that leads to the heart of the hill country.

It commences in Kandy and makes its way to Nuwara Eliya, passing through Haputale, Hatton and Ella.

We are excited at GlenMyu Estate.

At GlenMyu Estate, we are quite excited about the award for Best Wider World Tourism Project. We expect this will bring more people to this fantastic Island and this part of the country. 

Sri Lanka has had its challenges over the last few years and hopefully, with publicity like this, more tourists will come and experience what this paradise island has to offer.
