Getting to Lipton’s Seat
Litpon’s Seat is accessed via Haputale Town and it will It takes you an hour to get there.Â
It’s around 16 kilometres from Haputale which doesn’t appear to be too far.
However, the road is quite narrow, windy and ascends up the hills to the viewpoint.
Although brave souls have managed to get there by car, we would highly recommend taking a Tuk Tuk. This will be less stressful and you will be providing a local person with some income.
Trust me, I’ve driven up to St Catherine which is part of the Pekoe Trail and the route is part of the drive to Lipton’s Seat.
I had to reverse several times on a small one lane track which was a bit too scary for my likening.Â
