A different kind of swim on a paradise island
Swimming in the pool at GlenMyu Estate is a different kind of swim.
No chlorine, filled from a natural spring and surrounded by nature.
It’s an experience that you won’t forget.
At GlenMyu Estate, we attempt to give you a unique experience as you discover this island paradise.
Cool and refreshing - a different kind of swim!
You know that you are alive!
The temperature in the pool varies during the year.
In early December, sometimes I have to brace myself before diving in and repeat that this is good for you.
As our Scandinavian guests arrive in January, they do not understand what the fuss is all about. The temperature is positively inviting!
Our German guests are of a similar disposition. They love the freshness and are probably the most regular users of this unique experience.
A different kind of swim - surrounded by nature
The swimming pool at GlenMyu Estate is a short walk away from the house.
Lots of our guests like this are it is not overlooked and you can swim with a level of privacy.
The pool is surrounded by nature. Your eyes will be bombarded with a sea of changing greens and other hues from the flowers and other plants around the pool.
An experience in the morning and the evening
I particularly like swimming in the early morning or in the early evening.
Around 8 a.m or 4:30 p.m are my favourite times.
I love the colours of the sun peaking through the trees and the sounds of the birds at the start and end of their days.
My swim is regular disturbed by a noisy flock of parrots racing from tree to tress before retiring for the night.
You might be accompanied by a dog or two!
Our dogs don’t like water.
It really is a challenge getting them to have a bath. The sounds of reluctance are evidence enough.
However, you may be joined by some of them during your swim.
They love it when we have guests, especially if you give them a little affection.
So, your different kind of swim may include an informal security guard watching over you!
The waters warmer at the beach
The pool at GlenMyu Estate provides a different kind of swim to experience.
Lots of our guests find that the temperature of the water at the coasts are a little too warm. Some guests swim in the sea or lakes in Northern Europe and prefer the cooler water in the GlenMyu pool.
However, it’s great to have a variety of experienced on your holiday in Sri Lanka.
Spending time in a warm hotel pool or surfing on the southern coast is also a memorable experience.
